COMETS SUPPORTERS CLUB is the 1st Black-Founded Los Angeles Galaxy Supporters Group. We are an inclusive group (open to everyone) that creates a space for Black and African-descended LA Galaxy fans to come together, build community and celebrate our unique contributions to soccer and supporter culture. A love for soccer is common to the many diverse cultures of the African diaspora and we’re eager to bring the sights and sounds of The Culture to the gameday experience!
UNITY. Our motto is a reminder of our commitment to each other and our solidarity with other communities around Los Angeles.
GOALS
- Build a space within the LA Galaxy Community wherein Black supporters can come together to cultivate and share in their unique supporter culture
- Become a fully-fledged supporter’s group and add our own element to the electrifying gameday experience provided by the existing SGs
- Grow attendance and participation in the game of soccer among Black fans in our city
- Connect with communities in our city through events, networking, volunteering, and workshops
